Destination photography is becoming increasingly popular with Malaysians. Where are some of your favourite destinations?
Destination weddings and photography are fantastic, non-traditional ways for fabulous wedding and portrait photos, not to mention unique and completely refreshing. Our photographers are no strangers to destination pre-wedding and portrait photography. Some of our most outstanding work features the beautiful landscapes in Bali, Cambodia, Agra, Jaipur, Rajastan, Venice, Amsterdam, London, Perth, Dublin and many others.

How do you personalize wedding photography to each couple?
It is essential to get to know the couple well so they are comfortable sharing their ideas, thoughts, expectations and personalities with us before we create a drawing board for their photoshoot. Beautiful pictures are only as good as their significance to the beholder.

How do you give your couples their distinctive style?
The style must complement the couple. Capturing their expressions is the most important thing, not so much the “glamour” poses. Our priority is to capture the happy, endearing moments where our clients are at their best. It is easy to get a pose, but it takes a special kind of skill and character to spark the laughter and great moments naturally; and that is what we are here for.

What kind of wedding photography is currently most popular?
Portraiture that depicts natural emotions and feelings. Posing unnaturally for a shot is passé. The most meaningful photos are those that are natural, artistic, realistic – shots of you feeling and looking your best, being with the person or people who mean the most to you.

Between pre-wedding and wedding day photography, which is more significant of the two?
They are both important. While your pre-wedding photoshoot is something you may redo if you didn’t like it, your wedding day photography takes place only once, which is why you must always hire a highly-recommended professional and do not go for the least expensive.

How many photographers do you assign for photoshoots?
For any photoshoot, we always assign at least two photographers. For certain conditions such as a pre-wedding shoot executed with a commercial photography approach, we assign more than two as many lighting setups and logistics are involved.

What are your rates like?
Our rates start from RM2,020.

What are your top tips when it comes to hiring wedding photographers?
• Always hire reputable professionals with excellent references; you do not want your wedding photographs to look anything less than perfect!

• It is crucial to meet your shortlisted photographers – a phone call or e-mail does not work. Great photographers are artists and need an impression of their subject before creating a drawing board that best suits your physical features, aspirations, style and personality.
